    Iconic perfumer of the XIX century, Jean-Vincent Bully opened a perfumes and cosmetics boutique in Paris in 1803.  He invented the famous “Bully aromatic vinegar” (fashionable anti-mephitic vinegar of those times…). But he went through bankruptcy when the 1830 Revolution destroyed his shop. He spent the rest of his life paying off creditors and in deprivation.
