Books & drawings by SEMPE

Mr Jean Jacques Sempé was a famous french illustrator (1932-2022).

From the year 1950, he started to sell his humorous drawings to the press. In the following years he created the well-know “Petit Nicolas “character (with the help of  the scenarist René Goscinny).

Since then Mr Sempé had collaborated with majors press reviews (including more than 100 drawings for the famous New Yorker magazine).

All along his career, many drawings books had been edited; some focused on the Paris and France ambiance.

No need to speak french to value his sens of humour ! His drawings are smart and timeless. They could be perfect art gifts.
