For once, we will talk about products designed in France …but made worldwide ! 🙂

In 2009, the designers Marie Macon and Anne-Laure Lesquoy created a brand offering hand embroidered accessories. Marie sketches the ideas whereas Anne-Laure manages the conceptualisation of the item.

The funny, colorful and even engaged brooches, patches and other accessories are mainly inspired by their trips abroad. But also through collaborations with well-known French brands or museums.

They selected highly skilled craftsmen around the globe : Pakistan for its ancestral hand-skills with purl embroidery of the brooches, Portugal for the patches mechanical embroidery and Rwanda for the needle-painting technique.

Macon & Lesquoy had also the great idea to celebrate the Spirit of the Paris city, by creating a dedicated theme: cheese, croissant, baquette, wine, cup of café, pigeon, bistrot chair, Eiffel Tower, Street sign….It will be difficult not to start a collection ! Perfect Parisian souvenirs, isn’t it ?
