Shoes by JM. WESTON

The JM Weston saga dated back to the year 1891, when Mr Edouard Blanchard founded a shoes factory in the Limoges city. The region was well know for its leather work due to live-stocks activity. 15 years later, his son Eugène Blanchard decided to travel to the USA and learn the american boot-makers’ craft in Weston city (Massachusetts). He imported back the “Goodyear” stitching technique, which allows shoes to be resole in the long term. Innovative, he decided then to only manufacture top of the line shoes and renamed the family business “J.M Weston”.

JM Weston is the only French shoemaker which has its own sole leather tannery since 1981; using traditional vegetable tanning methods, the leather possesses durability and exceptional quality.
