The french “espadrille” is one of our typical summer sandal ! Each year, no summer holidays without buying a new pair…

The “espadrille” is very light and breathable; the internal braided rope sole, the external vulcanized rubber sole and the  cotton cover make a very comfortable sandal. One enemy only: water !!!

The French historical production center of the “espadrilles” is located in Mauléon city (64-basque country, south west of France).

And only few last French manufacturers withstand the usual foreign productions….

This is why the young brand PAYOTE (born in 2016) works with the production workshop MEGAM located in this same city !
